The SECO 10023067 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance milling of non-ferrous metals. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut (1.2500 inches), and a 0.0300 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the tool tip and improves surface finish on profiled features. The 3-flute geometry paired with a 45-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An ANF PVD coating provides wear resistance suited to aluminum and other non-ferrous workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC mill operators install this tool in standard straight-shank toolholders.
This end mill is intended for roughing and finishing operations on non-ferrous metals such as aluminum, brass, and copper alloys. The centercutting design allows plunge entry directly into the workpiece, supporting ramping, pocketing, and slotting applications. The coarse pitch and high helix configuration make it well suited for high material removal rates in softer materials where chip packing is a common concern. It belongs to the SECO A345R series and mounts in any compatible straight-bore toolholder accepting a 1/2 inch shank.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard production end mill for use in straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/2 inch shank diameter. Primary workpiece material compatibility is non-ferrous metal (material code N) per SECO A345R series specifications.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Confirm the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool changer is in a safe state before inserting or removing the tool from the holder. Use a calibrated torque wrench and the toolholder manufacturer's recommended procedure when securing set screws or collets — do not overtighten. Verify tool runout against the stated TIR maximum of 0.0005 inches after seating to maintain dimensional accuracy and tool life.
