The SECO 10023066 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill engineered for high-performance milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2 inch mill diameter, a 1-1/4 inch length of cut, and a 0.0200 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The three right-hand spiral flutes are ground with a high helix angle of 45 degrees to promote efficient chip evacuation and smooth cutting action. An ANF PVD coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance without adding excessive edge buildup. This single-end, centercutting tool handles both roughing and finishing operations, making it a versatile choice for machinists and tool-and-die professionals working in production environments.
This end mill is intended for use in non-ferrous metal applications, including aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials where sharp edges and high helix geometry deliver the best results. The straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders used on vertical machining centers and CNC mills. The coarse pitch flute configuration supports aggressive material removal while maintaining surface finish quality. It is well suited to pocketing, profiling, and contouring operations where a controlled corner radius is required at part features.

Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician. The straight-cylindrical shank should be seated fully and evenly in a clean, undamaged toolholder before tightening to the holder manufacturer's specified clamping procedure. Verify runout does not exceed the maximum TIR of 0.0005 inch after mounting. Inspect the cutting edges for chips or damage before each use, and ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped before changing tools.
