The SECO 10023064 is a single-end, solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/2-inch cutting diameter, a 0.1250-inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a coarse pitch and high helix angle of 45 degrees. The tool carries an ANF PVD coating applied to extend wear life and improve chip evacuation. With a stub-length configuration and centercutting capability, it handles both roughing and finishing passes in a single setup. Licensed machinists and CNC operators use this end mill in toolholder setups on vertical and horizontal machining centers.
This end mill is suited for milling aluminum, copper, brass, and other non-ferrous metals where a radiused corner profile is required to reduce stress concentrations or match part geometry. The 5/8-inch length of cut accommodates moderate-depth passes, while the 3-inch overall length keeps the tool rigid in the spindle. The straight-cylindrical shank fits standard collet chucks and shrink-fit toolholders. It is a part of the SECO A345R series, which is engineered for high-feed, right-hand cutting operations on non-ferrous workpiece materials.
Designed for use with standard collet chuck and shrink-fit toolholders accepting a 1/2-inch straight-cylindrical shank. Part of the SECO A345R series, intended for right-hand, high-helix milling of non-ferrous metals including aluminum and copper alloys.
Install into a clean, undamaged toolholder bore and verify runout does not exceed the 0.0005-inch TIR maximum before engaging the workpiece. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the CNC control is in a safe state before loading or removing the tool. Confirm shank engagement depth meets the toolholder manufacturer minimum to prevent pullout under cutting loads. Do not use this end mill on ferrous materials, as it is optimized for non-ferrous workpiece material codes and coating chemistry.
