The SECO 10023050 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in non-ferrous metal applications. It features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, a 0.0300 inch corner radius, and three right-hand spiral flutes with a high-helix, coarse-pitch geometry that supports both roughing and finishing operations in a single tool. The ANF PVD coating improves wear resistance and surface finish when cutting aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. With a 3/4 inch length of cut and 2-1/2 inch overall length, this single-end, centercutting tool mounts in standard straight-bore toolholders and is suited for CNC machining centers running non-ferrous workpieces.
This end mill is used in CNC milling operations on non-ferrous metals where a controlled corner radius is required to reduce stress concentrations, improve part geometry, or meet drawing callouts. The centercutting design allows plunge entry. The straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank fits a wide range of collet-style and hydraulic toolholders. It is suited for job shops, production facilities, and aerospace or general manufacturing environments where tight tolerances on aluminum or similar materials are routine.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 1/4 inch cylindrical shank. Intended for non-ferrous metal workpiece materials as designated by material application code N. Part of the SECO Series A345R end mill family.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Secure the shank fully within the toolholder to the recommended gauge-line depth and torque the retention mechanism per the toolholder manufacturer specifications before spindle engagement. Confirm runout with a dial indicator before cutting — TIR should not exceed 0.0005 inch as specified. Always confirm spindle speed and feed rate are appropriate for the workpiece material and depth of cut before program execution.
