The SECO 10023039 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precise milling in non-ferrous metal applications. With a 5/32 inch (0.1562 inch) cutting diameter and a 0.0100 inch corner radius, this tool produces accurate edge profiles while reducing stress concentrations at part corners. The 3-flute, right-hand spiral geometry combined with a 45-degree high helix angle promotes efficient chip evacuation. The ANF PVD coating improves surface hardness and wear resistance for extended tool life in aluminum, copper, brass, and similar materials. It is a single-end, centercutting design, allowing plunge entry. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and run this tool in standard milling and machining centers.
This end mill is suited for both roughing and finishing passes on non-ferrous metals in production and job-shop environments. Its straight-cylindrical shank seats directly into standard toolholders. The Series A345R designation places it within SECOs family of high-helix corner radius tools optimized for light alloy and non-ferrous machining. Typical applications include contour milling, slot milling, and profile work on aluminum components, fixtures, and prototype parts.
Designed for use with standard straight-bore toolholders accepting a 3/16 inch shank. Primary workpiece material is non-ferrous metal (material code N). Fits milling machines and CNC machining centers equipped with compatible collet chucks or end mill holders.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the spindle before inserting or removing the tool from the toolholder. Seat the shank fully into the collet or holder to the specified engagement depth to minimize runout. Verify TIR does not exceed 0.0005 inch before beginning a production run, and confirm cutting parameters match the workpiece material to avoid tool deflection or premature wear.
