The SECO 10022732 is a solid carbide ball end mill designed for high-performance milling in aluminum and non-ferrous materials. Part of the AB245 series, this single-end mill features a 1/4 inch cutting diameter, 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 45-degree high-helix spiral flute geometry that promotes efficient chip evacuation and reduced heat buildup. The ANF PVD coating is applied specifically for non-ferrous applications, helping to minimize built-up edge and extend tool life. With a 2-flute configuration and centercutting capability, it handles both slotting and profiling operations in one tool.
This end mill is suited for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills where aluminum alloys, copper, brass, and similar non-ferrous workpiece materials are being cut. The short length type and straight cylindrical 1/4 inch shank make it compatible with standard collet chucks and end mill holders. Its right-hand cut and right-hand flute direction are standard for conventional and climb milling setups in production and job shop environments. Machinists and CNC operators working with non-ferrous stock will find this tool appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder to achieve correct runout; maximum TIR for this tool is 0.0005 inches. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines for feeds, speeds, and clamping torque appropriate to carbide tooling in non-ferrous applications.
