The SECO 03273546 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the manufacturer designation LPKW05T210TR-MD05 in the MP2501 grade. It features a CVD-applied Duratomic coating of TiCN and Al2O3, which provides wear and heat resistance during interrupted and continuous milling operations. The insert is rectangular in shape, right-hand cut, with a neutral rake angle and a T-Land cutting edge style. Key dimensional specs include a 2.54 mm (0.1000 inch) thickness, a 1.00 mm corner radius, and a maximum depth of cut of 0.2677 inches. Two cutting edges are available per insert. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert into compatible milling toolholders.
This insert is designed for milling applications in steel as the primary workpiece material, with rated capability in stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. The MP2501 grade with Duratomic CVD coating is suited for medium to finishing passes where surface integrity and tool life consistency are priorities. The MD05 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip formation across these material groups. It is used in production machining environments including job shops, aerospace component work, and general metalworking. The insert is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units per purchase.

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque driver for the clamping screw to avoid cracking the carbide substrate — do not over-torque. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert.
