The SECO 03273545 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying manufacturer part number LPHT060310TR-M06 and grade MP2501. It is a rectangular, right-hand, single-sided insert designed for use in indexable milling cutters. The insert is coated via CVD with a TiCN and Al2O3 Duratomic coating over a fine-grain carbide substrate. It features a positive rake angle of 11 degrees, a T-Land cutting edge style, and two cutting edges per insert. Width is 0.25 inches, thickness is 0.125 inches, and maximum depth of cut is 0.3343 inches. The insert is held in place by a screw and is intended for installation by machinists and tooling specialists in production or job-shop milling applications.
This insert is suited for milling steel as its primary workpiece material, with secondary capability in stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium. It is designated by ISO and ANSI code LPHT060310TR-M06 with chip breaker geometry M06. The M06 chip breaker geometry is matched to moderate cutting conditions and a range of workpiece materials. Compatible cutter series include R217.21-LP06 and R220.21-LP06. The insert series is LPHT-06 with an inscribed circle of 0.25 inches and insert size code 060310. It is appropriate for both roughing and finishing passes depending on depth of cut selection within the rated range.

Installation is performed by a machinist or tooling technician using the appropriate torx or hex key for the clamping screw specified by the cutter body manufacturer. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the cutter body secured before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before seating the new insert. Follow the cutter body manufacturer's clamping torque specifications, as over- or under-torquing the retention screw can cause insert movement or breakage during cutting.
