It features a trigon (88.28-degree included angle) insert shape with a negative rake angle of 27 degrees and a T-Land cutting edge style. The insert is double-sided, offering 6 total cutting edges, and is finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic coating combining TiCN and Al2O3 layers for wear and heat resistance. It is sized at 0.2953 inches length, 0.4913 inches inscribed circle diameter, and 0.2539 inches thickness, and is held in place by a screw-mount method. Licensed machinists and CNC tooling technicians install this insert in compatible face and shoulder milling cutter bodies.
This insert is suited for milling operations on steel as its primary workpiece material, with additional capability across stainless steel, cast iron, superalloys, and titanium.
