The SECO 03272859 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOMX120416TR-MD13 in manufacturer grade MP1501. This single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with a positive rake geometry and a T-Land cutting edge style. The CVD-applied Duratomic coating combines TiCN and Al2O3 layers to extend tool life when cutting steel, cast iron, and hard materials. With two cutting edges, a corner radius of 0.0630 inches (1/16 inch), and a maximum depth of cut of 5.80 mm (0.4567 inches), it is suited to demanding face and shoulder milling operations. This insert is designed for use in industrial milling applications targeting steel as the primary workpiece material, with secondary suitability for cast iron and hard materials. This insert is installed and replaced by machinists or CNC tooling technicians using the screw-held mounting method standard to the XOMX insert style. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key as specified by the cutter body manufacturer when seating the clamping screw.
