Designed as a direct-fit replacement for 16ER-style Snap Tap laydown threading insert holders accepting a 3/8-inch inscribed circle insert with a 4.00 mm mounting hole diameter, conforming to ISO threading insert standards.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and the toolholder secured in the turret before seating or removing the insert. Torque the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer specification only — do not over-torque. Verify insert seating and orientation visually before initiating a threading pass, and confirm thread pitch and hand against the workpiece drawing before cutting.
