The SECO 03213556 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation SNMX1407ANTR-M10 in the MS2050 manufacturer grade. It is a square-shaped, double-sided insert with 8 cutting edges, a negative rake geometry, and a T-Land cutting edge style. The insert is coated with a TiAlN and NbN multilayer via PVD process and is designed for milling applications in superalloys, titanium, steel, and stainless steel. The inscribed circle measures 14.00 mm (0.5512 inches) and the insert thickness is 6.59 mm (0.2594 inches). Installation is performed by machining professionals using a screw-clamping holding method.
This insert is suited for milling operations where high heat resistance and edge toughness are required, particularly when cutting difficult materials such as superalloys and titanium. It is also rated for steel and stainless steel applications. The M10 chip breaker geometry supports controlled chip evacuation across a range of depths of cut, making it appropriate for both roughing and semi-finishing passes on CNC machining centers. The right-hand cutting orientation should be confirmed against the toolholder specification before installation.
Compatible with the R220.54-14 cutter series. Insert style is SNMX-14 series. Sold in a minimum order quantity of 10 with a package quantity of 1 per package unit.
Installation is performed by qualified machining technicians on CNC or manual milling equipment. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before changing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key to seat and torque the clamping screw per the toolholder manufacturer specification. Verify insert orientation and hand designation match the toolholder before engaging the workpiece.
