Product Description

The SECO 03095439 is a solid carbide turning insert in the CCMT-F1 series, designed for external and internal turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features an 80-degree diamond (C) insert shape with a neutral hand orientation and a 1/64 inch (0.0157 inch) corner radius. The substrate is carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, providing wear resistance and thermal stability at elevated cutting speeds. The F1 chip breaker geometry produces a sharp cutting edge with a positive rake angle, suitable for finishing and semi-finishing passes on steel and stainless steel workpieces.

This insert is intended for use in turning, facing, and boring applications on CNC lathes and turning centers in production and job-shop environments. The TP3501 grade targets ISO material groups P (steel) and M (stainless steel), with rated material grades of P20, P30, and P40. The ANSI industry standard number is CCMT32.51-F1 and the ISO equivalent is CCMT09T304-F1. Installation is performed by licensed machinists and CNC operators. This insert is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 10 units.

Key Features

  • CVD Duratomic multilayer coating (TiCN, Al2O3, Cr) for extended tool life at high cutting speeds
  • F1 chip breaker with sharp, positive-rake cutting edge geometry for finishing and light semi-finishing
  • 80-degree diamond insert shape (CCMT) with 7-degree relief angle and neutral hand
  • 3/8 inch (0.3750 inch) inscribed circle with maximum depth of cut of 0.3661 inch
  • Screw-held mounting method with a 0.1772 inch hole diameter for secure clamping
  • Multi-use geometry suitable for turning, facing, and boring operations

Compatibility

Compatible with CCMT-style screw-clamp turning toolholders accepting a 3/8 inch inscribed circle, 5/32 inch thick insert with a 0.1772 inch center hole. Meets ANSI and ISO dimensional standards (CCMT32.51 / CCMT09T304). Suited for toolholders designed for the CCMT insert family.

Installation Notes

Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the toolholder manufacturer's specified torque; do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide insert. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a new insert.
