The SECO 03095435 is a CCMT-style carbide turning insert designed for precision metal cutting in CNC turning, boring, and facing operations. It carries the TP3501 manufacturer grade with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr, engineered to deliver moderate wear resistance and toughness on steel and stainless steel workpieces. The insert features an 80-degree diamond (rhombic) shape with a positive rake geometry, a 7-degree relief angle, and an MF2 chip breaker optimized for finishing cuts. The corner radius measures 0.0315 inches, and the inscribed circle diameter is 0.2500 inches. The part is screw-held and provides 2 usable cutting edges per insert.
This insert is suited for finishing operations on steel and stainless steel in both light and moderate material grades, corresponding to ISO P20, P30, and P40 classifications. Typical applications include CNC lathe turning, facing, and boring cycles where consistent surface finish and dimensional accuracy are priorities. The MF2 chip breaker geometry targets low-to-moderate feed finishing passes. The neutral hand orientation makes it compatible with standard CCMT toolholders used across a wide range of turning centers in production and job-shop environments.
Designed for use in CCMT-style screw-clamp turning toolholders. Suitable for boring, facing, and turning applications on steel (ISO P) and stainless steel (ISO M) workpieces. Multi-use application across standard CNC turning centers accepting CCMT insert geometry.
Installation is performed by machining professionals using the appropriate CCMT screw-clamp toolholder and insert torque driver. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before seating or indexing the insert. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before installing a new cutting edge. Follow the toolholder manufacturer guidelines for clamp screw torque to avoid insert fracture or improper seating.
