The SECO 03094144 is a CNMG643-MR7 series indexable turning insert designed for medium to heavy material removal in steel and stainless steel applications. It features a solid carbide substrate with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating — TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr — that extends edge life under demanding cutting conditions. The insert has a 3/4 inch inscribed circle, an 80-degree diamond shape, a 3/64 inch corner radius, and a T-Land cutting edge style with an MR7 chip breaker geometry. Four usable cutting edges per insert make it a cost-effective choice for production turning environments. Negative rake and a neutral hand orientation suit a wide range of tool holder setups.
This insert is rated for boring, facing, and turning operations. Its primary workpiece material designation is Steel (ISO P), with a secondary rating for Stainless Steel (ISO M), covering material grades P20, P30, and P40. It is suited for use in CNC lathes and turning centers in both production shop and job shop environments. The clamp, pin, and lever lock holding methods give it broad compatibility with standard CNMG tooling systems.
