The SECO 03084132 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for high-performance material removal in demanding machining applications. Built on the STR440.2 series platform, it features a 1/8 inch diameter, a 3/8 inch length of cut, and a 0.0100 inch corner radius that reduces stress concentrations at the cutting edge. The four-flute, right-hand spiral geometry paired with a variable helix angle promotes smooth chip evacuation and reduced chatter. An AlTiN (aluminum titanium nitride) PVD coating provides elevated heat resistance and surface hardness, extending tool life when cutting abrasive or work-hardening materials. This end mill is center-cutting, allowing direct plunge entry without a pre-drilled hole.
This tool is intended for milling stainless steel, superalloys, titanium, and other hard materials where tool wear and thermal load are primary concerns. The micrograin carbide substrate and high-helix geometry make it well suited for finish profiling, slotting, and light roughing passes in ISO material groups M, S, and H. It is used in CNC machining centers and milling machines with compatible straight-cylindrical toolholders. The STR440.2 series targets shops running tight-tolerance work in aerospace, medical, and general precision machining environments.

Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist following the toolholder manufacturer torque and runout specifications. Confirm the shank is fully seated and secured before spindle start. Maximum TIR should be verified at setup — input data lists a maximum TIR of 0.0005 inches for this tool. Do not exceed recommended cutting parameters for the workpiece material, and ensure coolant strategy is appropriate since this tool does not have through-coolant capability.
