The four-flute, right-hand helical design incorporates a variable helix angle to reduce chatter and improve surface finish at aggressive feed rates. An AlTiN coating provides thermal resistance and extended tool life when cutting hard materials. This end mill is center-cutting and features a straight cylindrical shank at 12 mm diameter for secure toolholder engagement. It is sized for use in CNC machining centers and manual mills handled by skilled machinists and toolroom operators.
This end mill is suited for milling hard materials and stainless steel, including grades classified under material codes H, M, and S. Its long-length configuration makes it appropriate for deep-pocket milling, slotting, and profiling operations where standard-reach tools cannot reach the required depth. Installation and tool changes should be performed by qualified machinists with the spindle fully powered down and the machine in a safe, locked-out state. Ensure the toolholder bore and collet are clean and free of chips before seating the shank to maintain runout within specification. Maximum TIR is 0.0005 inches — verify runout with a dial indicator after clamping. Follow the tool manufacturer's recommended speeds and feeds for the specific workpiece material and depth of cut.
