The SECO 03080724 is an indexable insert drill from the PerfoMAX series, designed for general-purpose drilling in metal fabrication and machining operations. The drill body accepts two indexable inserts and is built from steel construction with coolant-through capability for improved chip evacuation and tool life. It produces a 24.99mm bore diameter with a maximum drill depth of 50.04mm, following a 2xD depth-to-diameter ratio. The straight cylindrical shank measures 1-1/4 inches in diameter, making it compatible with standard drill chucks and toolholding systems used in CNC machining centers and drill presses.
This indexable insert drill is suited for production drilling applications in job shops, aerospace, automotive, and general manufacturing environments. It is designed for use in CNC machining centers where coolant-through capability can be fully utilized. The PerfoMAX platform targets general-purpose drilling at moderate to high feed rates. The right-hand cutting direction is standard for conventional spindle rotation. Machinists and CNC operators working with steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials will find this drill appropriate for repetitive, high-volume hole-making operations requiring consistent diameter control.
Compatible with drill style SD522. Accepts SCGX and SPGX indexable insert styles in size codes 0703 and 070308, including insert designation SPGX0703. Modular connection size is R7.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the toolholder is properly secured before mounting or removing the drill body. Verify insert seating and fastener torque according to the insert manufacturer specifications before initiating a cut.
