The SECO 03064508 is a WNMG432-M5 indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide and finished with a CVD-applied Duratomic coating stack consisting of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr layers. The trigon (W) shape provides an 80-degree included angle with a neutral hand orientation and a 0-degree rake angle, making it suited for stable, negative-rake toolholding setups. The insert measures 0.685 inches in length with a 0.5-inch inscribed circle diameter and a 0.0315-inch corner radius. Six cutting edges are available per insert, maximizing tool life per unit. Licensed machinists and CNC lathe operators install this insert in compatible WNMG-style toolholders for production turning applications.
This insert is designed for boring, facing, and turning operations. Its primary workpiece material designation is cast iron (ISO code K), with secondary suitability for steel and stainless steel (ISO codes P and M). Material grades K10, K20, and K30 are applicable. Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Inspect the insert seat and chip pocket for debris before seating a new edge.
