The SECO 02959914 is a CNMG432-M3 series indexable turning insert designed for metal-cutting operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. It features a solid carbide substrate with a Duratomic CVD multilayer coating of TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr for extended tool life and heat resistance. The insert carries a TP2501 manufacturer grade and is classified for primary use on steel (ISO P) with secondary capability on stainless steel and cast iron. With 4 cutting edges, an 80-degree diamond shape, a chamfered and honed cutting edge style, and the M3 chip breaker geometry, this insert is suited for finishing to medium roughing passes. Licensed machinists and CNC operators install and index this insert in standard CNMG-compatible toolholders.
This insert is rated for boring, facing, and turning applications. Its negative rake, neutral hand orientation, and 0-degree relief angle (clearance code N, tolerance code M) make it compatible with rigid clamping systems including clamp, pin, and lever-lock toolholder styles. Primary workpiece material is steel across material grades P10, P20, P30, and P35. Secondary workpiece materials include stainless steel (ISO M) and cast iron (ISO K).
