The SECO 02956341 is a CNMG432-FF2 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a CVD-applied Duratomic multilayer coating (TiCN, Al2O3, and Cr). It carries manufacturer grade TP2501 and is designed for general turning operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The 80-degree diamond shape (insert shape code C) provides a strong cutting geometry. With four usable cutting edges and a honed cutting edge style, this insert is suited for productive metal removal in steel and stainless steel applications. It is installed and changed by machinists and CNC operators during routine insert indexing or toolholder service.
This insert is intended for external and internal turning applications including boring, facing, and general turning. The FF2 chip breaker geometry is optimized for finishing to medium roughing passes on steel and secondary materials including stainless steel and cast iron. Material grades P10, P20, P30, and P35 cover a broad range of steel cutting conditions. The insert seats in toolholders that accept clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding methods, making it compatible with a wide range of CNMG-style toolholder systems. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards (ISO code CNMG120408-FF2).

Insert indexing and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator with the machine in a full stop and all axis motion locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamping hardware for the toolholder; do not overtighten clamp screws by hand estimation. Inspect the toolholder pocket and seating surface for chips or wear before seating a new insert. Dispose of used carbide inserts in accordance with local regulations for carbide tooling waste.
