The SECO 02898050 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit from the SD1105A series, designed for high-performance drilling in demanding production environments. It features a 19.50 mm cutting diameter, a 140-degree standard point angle, and an AlCrN (aluminum chromium nitride) coating that extends tool life in abrasive and high-temperature applications. The overall length is 153.00 mm (6.03 inches) with a 101.00 mm (3.98 inches) flute length. It is installed by machinists, toolroom technicians, and production drilling operators using CNC machining centers or drill presses with appropriate toolholders.
This drill is suited for drilling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials classified under ISO material groups P, M, K, and H. The 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio makes it appropriate for moderate-depth holes up to 77.00 mm (3.03 inches). The straight-cylindrical shank at 20.00 mm diameter fits standard chuck and collet toolholding systems. It is a right-hand cutting, spiral-flute design with no coolant-through capability, making it best suited for flooded or mist coolant delivery at the spindle.

This drill is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in compatible chuck or collet toolholding systems rated for the 20.00 mm shank diameter. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool is properly seated and torqued in the holder before initiating a cut. Because this drill has no coolant-through capability, adequate external coolant flood or mist delivery must be applied at the cutting zone to prevent premature coating breakdown. Follow the tooling manufacturer and machine builder runout and runout inspection procedures before production use.
