The SECO 02897950 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in demanding industrial and metalworking applications. It features a 1/2 inch cutting diameter, a 140-degree split-point tip for accurate entry and reduced thrust, and an AlCrN coating that extends tool life in abrasive and heat-generating cuts. The straight-cylindrical shank measures 14.00 mm (0.5512 inches) in diameter and seats securely in standard drill chucks and toolholders. With a 2-flute spiral geometry and 5xD flute-to-diameter ratio, this bit clears chips efficiently and maintains rigidity through the cut. This drill bit is built for production and job-shop drilling in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials classified under ISO material groups P, M, K, and H. The SD1105A series is suited for CNC machining centers and manual drill press operations where consistent hole geometry and tight diameter tolerances are required. The m7 diameter tolerance on the cutting end supports accurate hole sizing without reaming in many applications.
