The SECO 02897913 is a solid carbide jobber-length drill bit designed for high-performance drilling in ferrous and hard materials. Built to Series SD1105A specifications, it features an AlCrN coating, a 140-degree split-point geometry, and a straight-cylindrical shank measuring 8 mm in diameter. The two-flute spiral design promotes efficient chip evacuation during drilling operations. With an overall length of 3.59 inches and a flute length of 2.09 inches, this bit handles drilling depths up to 2.09 inches. It is sized to an m7 diameter tolerance, making it suitable for precise-fit hole requirements. Licensed machinists, tool-and-die tradespeople, and CNC operators are the primary installers.
This drill bit is rated for use in steel, stainless steel, cast iron, and other hard materials, corresponding to ISO material codes P, M, K, and H. The 7xD flute-to-diameter ratio supports moderately deep hole drilling in a jobber-length format. It is well suited for production drilling environments, job shop work, and maintenance applications where consistent hole quality in ferrous and hard workpiece materials is required. The right-hand cut and standard point type make it compatible with conventional drill press, milling machine, and CNC machining center spindles.

Solid carbide tooling is brittle — avoid side loading, interrupted cuts without appropriate feeds, or dropping the bit on hard surfaces. Follow the machine manufacturer and tooling supplier recommendations for cutting parameters based on workpiece material and machine rigidity.
