The SECO 02827268 is an ER32 collet chuck with a CAT40 taper shank, designed for use in CNC machining centers where precise tool holding and repeatability are critical. It accepts ER32 collets with a clamping range of 2 to 20 mm (0.0787 to 0.7874 inches), making it suitable for a wide variety of cutting tool shanks. The chuck features through-coolant capability supporting both through-spindle and DIN flange coolant delivery, with a projection of 2.755 inches and an overall length of 5.449 inches. Installed by machinists and CNC setup technicians, this chuck is a direct-mount toolholder for milling and drilling operations requiring high-speed performance up to 30,000 RPM.
This collet chuck is suited for use in vertical and horizontal machining centers equipped with CAT40 spindle interfaces. It is appropriate for production and job-shop environments running high-speed milling, drilling, reaming, and tapping operations where coolant-through capability is required for chip evacuation and tool life. The 50 mm collet nut diameter and 1.968-inch nose diameter are consistent with standard ER32 tooling setups commonly found in general-purpose CNC machining applications.
Designed for use with ER32 collets and compatible with CAT40 spindle interfaces on CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Disengage spindle power and confirm the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or removing the toolholder. Use the appropriate spanner wrench for the ER32 collet nut and torque to the machine or toolholder manufacturer specifications. Inspect the taper shank and spindle bore for contamination or damage before seating the chuck.
