The SECO 02826530 is a solid carbide trigon milling insert in the 218.21-230 series, designed for indexable face and shoulder milling operations. It carries a dual PVD coating of TiAlN and TiN applied over a fine-grain solid carbide substrate. The insert measures 0.5000 inches in inscribed circle diameter, 0.5000 inches in length and width, and 0.2343 inches thick. Six cutting edges are available on this double-sided insert. The M15 chip breaker geometry and negative rake angle with a T-Land cutting edge style make this insert well suited for moderate to heavy material removal in steel, cast iron, and superalloy applications. Installation is performed by a machinist or toolroom technician using a screw holding method.
This insert is intended for use in CNC milling operations across metalworking, aerospace, and general machining environments. Its primary workpiece materials are steel, cast iron, and superalloys including titanium. Secondary materials include cast iron and non-ferrous metals. It is compatible with the R220.21-R230 cutter series. The right-hand cutting configuration and 60-degree included angle are standard for trigon-style inserts in this class. Each package contains one insert, sold in minimum order quantities of 10.
Compatible with the R220.21-R230 cutter series. Insert size code 230TR-06 with ANSI and ISO code 218.21-230TR-06-M15. Suitable for machining steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium.
This insert is installed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Before indexing or replacing inserts, ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Use the appropriate torx or hex key to seat the clamping screw to the cutter body manufacturer's specification. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the new insert.
