Product Description

The SECO 02789604 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation LPHT060310TR-M06 and manufacturer grade MP3000. It features a rectangular shape with a positive rake geometry and a T-Land cutting edge style, designed for high-performance milling in demanding applications. The insert measures 0.25 inches wide and 0.1252 inches thick, with a maximum depth of cut of 0.3343 inches. A TiAlN coating applied via PVD process enhances wear resistance and tool life when cutting hard and abrasive materials. Two cutting edges are available per insert. It is installed by machinists and toolroom technicians in compatible milling cutter bodies.

This insert is suited for milling operations on steel, stainless steel, and hard materials, covering ISO material groups P, M, and H. It is a right-hand insert intended for use in single-sided configurations. Typical applications include face milling and shoulder milling where close dimensional tolerances and surface finish quality are required. The positive rake angle of 11 degrees reduces cutting forces and is well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes on difficult-to-machine materials.

Installation Notes

Use the correct torque wrench and insert screw specified by the cutter body manufacturer to avoid seat damage or insert fracture. Inspect the pocket seat and clamping screw for wear or debris before seating the insert. Do not mix insert grades or geometries within a multi-insert cutter body.
