The SECO 02772720 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built on the Turbo 10 platform, this toolholder accepts XO.X 10T3.. insert styles and operates at a 90-degree lead angle for true square-shoulder cuts. The cutting diameter measures 7/8 inches with a maximum depth of cut of 0.354 inches. The steel body features a 3/4 inch cylindrical shank and an overall length of 3.39 inches, making it compatible with standard milling machine and machining center spindle setups. Through-coolant capability supports chip evacuation and heat management during aggressive cuts. This tool is installed and set up by machinists and CNC operators in production and job-shop environments.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials where a negative rake insert geometry is appropriate. The 3-insert, 3-flute configuration supports balanced cutting loads. The Turbo 10 Series designation identifies toolholder and insert system compatibility within the SECO modular indexable milling platform. It is appropriate for both roughing and semi-finishing passes depending on insert selection. The ISO number for this toolholder is R217.69-00.875-3-10-3A, which can be used for cross-referencing and procurement purposes.
Compatible with XO.X 10T3.. insert style; complete insert compatibility includes XOEX and XOMX insert families. ISO designation R217.69-00.875-3-10-3A applies to this toolholder within the SECO Turbo 10 Series indexable milling system.
Installation and tool setup should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC operator. Ensure the spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before inserting or removing the toolholder from the spindle. Inspect inserts and seating surfaces for debris or damage before assembly. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's torque specifications for drawbar and collet retention when securing cylindrical-shank toolholders.
