The SECO 02772719 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill designed for precision milling operations in metalworking and machining environments. Built on the Turbo 10 platform with ISO designation R217.69-00.875-0-10-3A, this tool accepts three XO.X 10T3.. inserts secured by screw clamping. It features a 0.875 inch cutting diameter, a maximum depth of cut of 0.354 inches, and a 90-degree lead angle that produces true square shoulders in a single pass. Through-coolant capability keeps the cutting zone clear and extends insert life. The tool body is constructed from steel and is intended for use by machinists and toolroom professionals in CNC milling applications.
This end mill is suited for square-shoulder milling in a range of materials where a negative rake insert geometry is appropriate. The cylindrical shank diameter of 0.75 inches fits standard ER and side-lock toolholders commonly found on vertical and horizontal machining centers. With an overall length of 5.906 inches and a shank length of 4.724 inches, it provides sufficient reach for typical workpiece setups without sacrificing rigidity. The 3-flute configuration balances chip evacuation with cutting stability, making it a practical choice for both roughing and semi-finish passes.
Compatible with XOEX and XOMX insert families, specifically XO.X 10T3.. inserts. Designed for use in standard cylindrical toolholders with a 0.75 inch bore. ISO designation R217.69-00.875-0-10-3A confirms direct insert and toolholder compatibility within the Turbo 10 system.
Installation and tool changes should be performed by a qualified machinist with the spindle fully stopped and the machine in a locked-out, de-energized state per applicable machine safety procedures. Use a calibrated torque wrench when seating insert screws to avoid under- or over-torquing the clamping hardware. Verify runout after installation using a dial test indicator before initiating a cut. Confirm toolholder bore and pull-stud specifications match the machine spindle before mounting.
