The SECO 02772637 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill from the Turbo 10 series, designed for face milling, shoulder milling, and ramping operations on steel, cast iron, and similar workpiece materials. Built on a 3/4-inch Weldon Flat shank, the cutter accepts two XO.X 10T3.. inserts secured by screw-clamp retention with a negative rake geometry. Maximum depth of cut is 0.354 inches, and through-coolant capability allows cutting fluid delivery directly to the cutting edge, supporting higher speeds and extended insert life. The 90-degree lead angle produces a true square shoulder, which is critical for step milling and feature work requiring perpendicular walls. This tool is installed by CNC machinists and toolroom professionals.
The 02772637 end mill is suited for machining centers and knee mills capable of driving a 3/4-inch Weldon Flat shank toolholder. Its 2-flute indexable configuration is commonly used in roughing to semi-finishing passes where chip evacuation is a priority. The maximum spindle speed rating of 26,300 RPM makes it compatible with high-speed machining centers as well as conventional VMC setups. The Turbo 10 platform insert system gives technicians access to a broad range of XOEX and XOMX insert grades, allowing the same cutter body to be adapted for different material groups by swapping inserts without changing the holder.

Installation and tool changes should be performed with the machine spindle fully stopped and the control in a safe, locked-out state per applicable shop lockout/tagout procedures. Secure the Weldon Flat shank in a properly sized side-lock or Weldon-style toolholder and confirm runout before cutting. Insert seating screws should be tightened with the correct Torx key to manufacturer specification using the value printed on the insert screw or tooling documentation — do not estimate. Verify through-coolant passages are clear and that the machine coolant system pressure is compatible with the cutter before engaging the spindle.
