The SECO 02694954 is an indexable square-shoulder end mill from the Power Turbo series, designed for precision milling operations in metalworking environments. It features a 1.5-inch cutting diameter and a 90-degree lead angle, producing true square shoulders in a single pass. The tool accepts four XO.X 1806.. inserts secured by screw-clamp retention, allowing quick insert changes on the shop floor. With through-coolant capability and a maximum spindle speed of 9,900 RPM, it is suited for high-efficiency milling on CNC machining centers. Installation and operation are performed by machinists and toolroom professionals working to standard shop procedures.
This end mill is built for square-shoulder milling applications in both production and job-shop settings. The Weldon flat shank provides positive rotational drive in side-lock holders, minimizing pull-out under aggressive feed rates. A maximum depth of cut of 0.669 inches and a usable length of 3.535 inches allow multi-pass profiling and slotting on medium-to-large workpieces. The 4.72-inch overall length suits standard BT, CAT, and HSK toolholders with appropriate Weldon flat retention. The four-insert configuration balances cutting forces evenly across the cutter body at elevated feed rates.
Designed for use with XO.X 1806.. series inserts. Compatible with Weldon flat side-lock toolholders accepting a 1.25-inch shank diameter. Verify holder bore depth and coolant-through capability before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all energy is locked out before mounting or removing the tool. Seat the Weldon flat fully against the setscrews in the holder and torque per the toolholder manufacturer specifications. Confirm insert seat cleanliness and proper insert orientation before engaging the workpiece.
