The SECO 02656124 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation XOMX090308TR-M08 and manufactured to the MP3000 micrograin carbide grade. This single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry at 10.5 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. The TiAlN coating is applied via PVD process, delivering thermal and wear resistance suited for demanding milling operations. With two cutting edges and a 0.3543-inch effective cutting edge length, this insert is engineered for precision material removal in hard material, steel, and stainless steel applications. It is held in the cutter body by a screw-type mounting method.
This insert is intended for use in milling cutters compatible with the XOMX-09 series, specifically cutter series R217.69-09 and R220.69-09. It is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general milling operations in both shop and production environments. Primary workpiece material designation is H (hard material), with secondary compatibility for P (steel) and M (stainless steel) material groups per ISO classification. Machinists, tool-and-die technicians, and CNC mill operators working in metal-cutting applications will find this insert appropriate for moderate to high-hardness workpiece materials.
Designed for use with SECO milling cutter series R217.69-09 and R220.69-09 within the XOMX-09 insert series platform. Verify toolholder and pocket geometry against the XOMX090308TR-M08 insert specification before installation.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key for the clamping screw as specified by the cutter body manufacturer, and inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for debris or damage before seating a new insert. Do not exceed the cutter body's rated speed or the insert's maximum depth of cut specification.
