The SECO 02641992 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation XNEX080616TR-M13, manufactured in the MP3000 micrograin carbide grade with a PVD-applied TiAlN coating. The insert is trigon-shaped with a negative rake geometry and a T-Land cutting edge style, providing six usable cutting edges on a double-sided body. It is designed for milling operations on hard materials, steel, and stainless steel, and is installed by machinists and CNC tooling technicians on compatible indexable milling cutters. The 0.0630-inch corner radius and a maximum depth of cut of 0.2953 inches make this insert well suited for demanding semi-finish and finish milling passes.
This insert is intended for use in production milling environments where hard materials, steel grades, and stainless steel alloys are the primary workpiece materials. The XNEX080616TR-M13 designation places it in the XNEX-08 series and confirms compatibility with the R220.96-08 cutter series. The M13 chip breaker geometry is optimized for controlled chip formation across those material groups. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units, making it appropriate for production tooling rooms that rotate and index inserts on a scheduled basis.
Compatible with the R220.96-08 cutter series as specified by the manufacturer. Insert conforms to ANSI and ISO standards under the XNEX080616TR-M13 designation within the XNEX-08 series.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician. Power down and lock out the spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the appropriate Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to seat the screw-held insert; do not overtighten or cross-thread the clamp screw. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before installing a fresh insert to ensure proper seating and runout.
