The SECO 02625433 is a solid carbide multi-directional turning insert engineered for high-performance metal cutting in industrial machining applications. Manufactured in the TGP25 grade with a Duratomic TiCN/Al2O3 coating process, this insert delivers wear resistance and thermal stability across a range of workpiece materials. It carries a neutral hand orientation and features an FT chipbreaker geometry, making it suitable for consistent chip control during turning operations. The insert measures 1.15 inches in length with a maximum cutting width of 0.315 inches and a cutting height of 0.219 inches. It is double-ended, providing two usable cutting edges per insert. This insert is designed for use in multi-directional turning (MDT) toolholders compatible with the LCMF insert style. It is best suited for turning operations on cast iron, stainless steel, and carbon or alloy steel workpieces. The TGP25 grade with Duratomic coating is particularly appropriate where abrasion resistance and coating adhesion are priorities. Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Power down and lock out the CNC lathe or turning center before seating or changing inserts. Use the appropriate torx or hex key specified by the toolholder manufacturer to secure the insert clamp — do not overtighten or substitute fasteners. Inspect the insert pocket for chips or debris before seating each new insert to ensure proper support and prevent premature edge failure.
