The SECO 02615921 is a solid carbide trigon turning insert in the WNMP-MF1 series, grade TS2000, designed for precision metal cutting on CNC lathes and turning centers. It carries a multilayer PVD coating of TiAlN and TiN, which extends tool life and supports elevated cutting temperatures. The insert features an 80-degree included angle, a 3/8-inch inscribed circle, a 1/32-inch corner radius, and a negative rake geometry with a honed cutting edge. Six cutting edges are available per insert. The MF1 chip breaker geometry is engineered for controlled chip formation in medium finishing operations. Machinists and CNC operators working in job shops, aerospace, and general manufacturing will find this insert well-suited for finishing and semi-finishing passes.
This insert is primarily rated for stainless steel and superalloys and titanium, material codes M and S, per ISO classification. Secondary workpiece materials include steel, cast iron, and hard materials, codes P, K, and H. Typical applications include boring, facing, and turning operations. The insert is compatible with clamp, pin, and lever lock holding methods, making it adaptable to a wide range of standard toolholders. Installation is performed by machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Always power down and lock out the machine before seating or indexing the insert.
