The SECO 02578586 is a double-end neutral indexable cutoff blade designed for parting and grooving operations on CNC lathes and turning centers. The blade measures 0.984 inches high, 0.047 inches wide, and 5.91 inches in overall length, with a minimum insert width of 0.055 inches and an insert corner radius of 0.006 inches. It uses a self-grip insert holding method for secure, tool-free insert changes during production runs. The 150.10A blade style is built to ISO standards and accommodates insert seat size 1.4, making it a precise, repeatable tooling solution for machinists and toolroom professionals.
This blade is suited for parting applications in both production and job-shop turning environments. It supports both left-hand and right-hand cutting directions, giving setup flexibility across different machine configurations. The maximum workpiece diameter capacity is 1.4 inches, making it well matched to small-to-medium diameter bar stock and turned components. Compatible tool block style is 150.10-25, and the blade is part of SECO Series 150.10, a widely used modular cutoff system in precision machining environments. Installation into a 150.10-25 tool block is straightforward for experienced machinists familiar with modular parting systems.
Compatible with Series 150.10 inserts (insert designation 150.10-1.4..) and tool block style 150.10-25 (complete toolholder compatibility: 150.10-...-25). Insert seat size 1.4 is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the machine is in a safe, locked-out state before mounting or indexing the blade. Seat the blade securely in the 150.10-25 tool block before tightening to the holder manufacturer specifications. Verify insert seating and blade overhang before returning the machine to operation.
