The SECO 02566325 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI and ISO designation XOMX120408TR-M12, offered in manufacturer grade MK1500. This single-sided, right-hand insert features a parallelogram shape with a 90-degree included angle, a positive rake geometry at 10.4 degrees, and a T-Land cutting edge style. The CVD-applied Duratomic coating combines TiCN and Al2O3 layers to deliver wear resistance and thermal stability during interrupted and continuous milling cuts. Two cutting edges are available per insert, and the screw-based holding method keeps the insert securely seated under high cutting forces. Machinists and tooling technicians working in production and job-shop environments install this insert in compatible milling bodies.
This insert is engineered primarily for milling cast iron workpiece materials, corresponding to ISO material group K. The parallelogram insert style, positive rake angle, and M12 chip breaker geometry make it well-suited for face milling and shoulder milling operations where chip control and surface finish consistency in cast iron are priorities. The insert is compatible with cutter series R217.69-12 and R220.69-12. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units per transaction, making it appropriate for toolroom stock replenishment or production-line insert management.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or tooling technicians during scheduled insert changes or setup operations. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before removing or seating inserts. Use the correct Torx or hex key specified by the cutter body manufacturer to achieve proper clamping torque on the insert screw — do not overtighten, as this can fracture the carbide substrate. Inspect the insert pocket seating surface and locating pin for damage before installing a new insert.
