The SECO 02562799 is an internal, right-hand indexable threading toolholder built for precision thread-cutting and turning operations on CNC lathes and boring applications. Constructed from steel, it accepts 22NR series inserts with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle and uses a clamp-style insert holding method for secure, repeatable positioning. The shank measures 1.339 inches in height and 1.427 inches in width, with an overall length of 12 inches. Coolant is delivered through an axial concentric entry port, supporting through-coolant flow directly to the cutting zone for improved chip evacuation and tool life. This toolholder is part of the Snap Tap series and is suited for shops running tight-tolerance internal threading cycles.
This toolholder is designed for internal threading and turning applications in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. With a minimum bore diameter of 1.800 inches, it is well suited to medium-to-large bore work on manual or CNC turning centers. The CN-style toolholder geometry positions the insert for standard 60-degree thread forms and general turning passes. It is typically installed by CNC machinists, toolroom technicians, and production lathe operators working in manufacturing, repair, or job-shop environments.
Compatible with 22NR series indexable inserts with a 1/2-inch inscribed circle. Designed for use in CN-style toolholder seats on CNC or manual turning centers capable of accepting a 1.339 x 1.427 inch shank with a minimum bore diameter of 1.800 inches.
Installation should be performed by a qualified machinist or toolroom technician with the machine fully powered down and the spindle locked before securing the toolholder. Verify that the shank seats fully and squarely in the turret or toolpost before tightening. Confirm coolant line connections at the axial entry port are secure and leak-free prior to resuming operation. Follow the machine tool manufacturer guidelines and applicable shop safety procedures when setting tool offsets and test-cutting.
