The SECO 02526642 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SNHQ120708TL4-M07 in manufacturer grade F40M. This square-shaped, single-sided insert is designed for indexable milling applications requiring reliable performance across a range of ferrous and exotic workpiece materials. The TiAlN and TiN dual-layer PVD coating provides thermal resistance and wear protection, while the fine-grain carbide substrate supports edge integrity under aggressive cutting conditions. With four cutting edges, a negative rake geometry, and a T-Land cutting edge style, the insert delivers controlled chip formation and predictable tool life in production milling environments. Licensed machinists and CNC toolroom technicians are the primary installers.
This insert is suited for face milling, shoulder milling, and general-purpose indexable milling operations on steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It is compatible with the SECO cutter series 335.19-12 and carries an insert size code of 120708. The left-hand insert hand designation must be matched to the appropriate cutter body orientation. Typical applications include roughing to semi-finishing passes on steel and cast iron components in job shop and production machining environments.

Insert replacement and indexing should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC toolroom technician with the machine powered down and locked out per facility lockout/tagout procedures. Inspect the insert pocket and clamping screw for wear or damage before seating a new insert. Use the correct torque driver per the cutter body manufacturer specification for the insert clamping screw — do not overtighten. Confirm insert hand orientation matches the cutter body before resuming operation.
