The SECO 02511220 is a solid carbide corner radius end mill designed for precision milling in demanding metalworking applications. Built on the JHF980 series platform, it features a 1.5 mm cutting diameter, a 0.1 mm length of cut, and a 0.1 mm corner radius that protects the cutting edge and improves surface finish at workpiece corners. The micrograin carbide substrate provides hardness and wear resistance suited to fine-feature work. A MEGA-T coating reduces friction and extends tool life in ferrous and non-ferrous materials. This tool is installed and operated by machinists and CNC programmers working in precision machining environments.
This end mill is suited for tight-tolerance profiling, slotting, and finishing passes on small-feature workpieces in CNC machining centers. The extended reach design, with a 10.5 mm reach length and a reduced 1.2 mm neck diameter, allows access to deep pockets and recessed features without interference. The straight flute geometry and right-hand cutting direction make it a reliable choice for stable, controlled cuts in precision mold and die work, medical component machining, and aerospace part finishing.
Designed for use in CNC machining centers accepting a 6 mm cylindrical shank, as part of the SECO JHF980 series corner radius end mill line.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC setup technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and the tool holder is clean and free of debris before mounting. Use a properly sized collet or end mill holder rated for the 6 mm shank diameter and torque to the tool holder specification. Verify runout after installation before engaging the workpiece, as runout errors are especially consequential at cutting diameters below 2 mm.
