The SECO 02505933 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying ANSI and ISO designation SPMX090304-75 in manufacturer grade F40M. This single-sided, square-shaped insert is PVD-coated with TiAlN and TiN layers applied over a fine-grain carbide substrate, producing a hard, wear-resistant cutting surface suited for interrupted and continuous milling operations. The insert measures 3/8 inch in length and width with a thickness of 1/8 inch and features a 1/64-inch corner radius. With four cutting edges, a positive rake angle of 16 degrees, a T-Land cutting edge style, and an 11-degree relief angle, it is designed for efficient chip evacuation and reduced cutting forces across a range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC mill operators install this insert as a replacement cutting edge in compatible SECO cutter bodies.
This insert is engineered for milling steel, stainless steel, cast iron, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium, making it a versatile choice for job shops and production environments. It is held in the cutter body by a screw and is compatible with SECO cutter series R215.39, R215.49-3, and R417.19-3. The 09 insert size series and neutral hand orientation allow straightforward drop-in replacement when refitting compatible heads. Applications include face milling, shoulder milling, and copy milling operations on machining centers and CNC milling machines where fine-grain carbide grades are specified for demanding workpiece materials such as superalloys and titanium.

Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC tooling technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and locked out before changing inserts. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surfaces for chips or debris before installing a new insert to ensure proper seating and runout accuracy.
