The SECO 02469095 is a carbide replaceable tip drill designed for precision hole-making in steel and similar ferrous workpiece materials. Part of the SD100 series, this drill features a solid carbide tip with a TiAlN coating applied via PVD process, providing heat resistance and extended tool life under demanding cutting conditions. The 140-degree included point angle promotes self-centering and reduces thrust force at entry. Through-coolant capability delivers cutting fluid directly to the cutting edge, supporting chip evacuation and thermal management at higher feed rates. This drill is used by machinists and tooling technicians in production and job-shop environments.
The SD100 02469095 is suited for drilling steel workpieces in CNC machining centers and similar machine tool platforms where replaceable-tip drill systems are used to reduce tooling cost per hole. The replaceable tip design allows the carbide insert to be swapped at the spindle without removing the drill body from the toolholder, minimizing machine downtime. Through-coolant compatibility makes it appropriate for deep-hole applications where chip packing is a concern. This drill fits into operations targeting consistent bore diameter and entry geometry in P-class steel materials.
Designed as a replaceable tip insert for SD100 series drill bodies compatible with the P insert geometry. Intended for use with steel and P-class primary workpiece materials. Verify SD100 body bore diameter and tip seat geometry before installation.
Installation of replaceable carbide drill tips should be performed by a qualified machinist or tooling technician. The machine spindle must be fully stopped and locked out before handling any cutting tool insert. Tip seating surfaces on the drill body should be cleaned and inspected for damage before installing the new tip. Follow the drill body manufacturer torque specifications for the clamping screw to ensure proper tip retention during cutting.
