The SECO 02468532 is a solid carbide milling insert carrying the ANSI/ISO designation SEMX1505AFTN-M18. It is a square-shaped, single-sided insert with a neutral hand orientation and a positive rake angle of 5 degrees. The insert features a TiAlN and TiN PVD coating over a fine-grain solid carbide substrate, providing wear resistance and thermal stability in demanding milling operations. With four cutting edges, a T-Land cutting edge style, and a 20-degree relief angle, this insert is engineered for productive face and shoulder milling in steel, cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, superalloys, and titanium. It is sized at 5/8 inch inscribed circle with a thickness of 0.2189 inches and a corner radius of 0.0591 inches.
This insert is suited for use in CNC milling centers and machining centers across light manufacturing, aerospace, and general metalworking environments. It is compatible with the SECO R220.53-15 cutter series and is held in place by a screw-mount method. The M18 chip breaker geometry is optimized for medium-duty milling passes on steel and stainless steel as well as interrupted cuts in cast iron and superalloys.
