The SECO 02440064 is an insert key designed for indexable tooling systems, used to seat, tighten, and remove cutting inserts secured by Torx Plus drive screws. This key features a TP15 Torx Plus drive profile, which mates precisely with compatible insert clamping screws to deliver consistent torque without rounding out the drive recess. It is part of the Seco-Capto tooling series and is intended for use by machinists and tooling technicians working with CNC turning, milling, or boring setups that use indexable insert holders.
This insert key is compatible with Seco-Capto series toolholders in the DDUN R/L..-M style and is designed for use with anvil screw configurations. It is specified for use with screw part number C04008-T15P and suits DNMG 432 cutting inserts. Typical use is at the machine tool during insert indexing or replacement, in production and job-shop environments running indexable tooling on turning centers or machining centers.
Compatible with Seco-Capto series DDUN R/L..-M toolholders using anvil screw configuration. Specified screw compatibility: C04008-T15P. Compatible insert: DNMG 432.
Insert keys are used by machinists and tooling technicians during scheduled insert indexing or replacement. Always ensure the machine spindle is stopped and the toolholder is secure before engaging the insert screw. Use steady, controlled torque to avoid stripping the Torx Plus drive recess in the clamping screw. Follow the toolholder manufacturer torque specifications for the specific screw and insert combination in use.
