The SECO 02419639 is a DNMG432-MR3 series indexable turning insert manufactured from solid carbide with a multilayer TiAlN and TiN PVD coating in the CP500 grade. It features a 55-degree diamond shape, neutral hand orientation, a 0.5000-inch inscribed circle, and a 1/32-inch (0.0315-inch) corner radius. The MR3 chip breaker geometry uses a chamfered and honed cutting edge style with a negative rake angle. With four cutting edges per insert, it delivers consistent performance in turning, facing, boring, and back-turning operations. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists are the primary installers of this insert in production and job-shop environments.
This insert is engineered primarily for stainless steel (ISO material code M) and is also rated for steel (P), cast iron (K), and super-alloys and titanium (S). It is suited for both roughing and semi-finishing passes across those material groups, covering material grades M10, M20, and M30. The ANSI industry standard number is DNMG432-MR3 and the ISO code is DNMG150408-MR3. Typical applications include external turning, facing, and internal boring on CNC lathes and turning centers where a clamp, pin, or lever-lock toolholder accepts the DNMG insert style.
Designed for use in DNMG-style toolholders that accept a clamp, pin, or lever-lock holding method. Compatible with toolholders conforming to ANSI and ISO DNMG insert standards. Verify toolholder pocket dimensions against the 0.5000-inch inscribed circle and 3/16-inch insert thickness before installation.
Installation is performed by a qualified machinist or CNC setup technician. Power down and lock out the machine spindle before indexing or replacing inserts. Use the correct torque wrench and manufacturer-specified clamp screw to seat the insert firmly in the pocket without over-torquing the clamp screw. Inspect the insert pocket and seating surface for chips or debris before installing a fresh edge.
