The SECO 02411066 is a solid carbide turning insert designed for precision external turning operations on CNC lathes and manual turning centers. Manufactured to the LCEX insert style in size code 11, this right-hand insert features a PVD-applied TiAlN and TiN dual coating over a micrograin carbide substrate. The RF chip breaker geometry promotes controlled chip formation and reduces cutting forces during interrupted and continuous cuts. With a 7-degree relief angle and a rake angle of 0 degrees, the insert is suited for stable, consistent stock removal across a range of metallic workpiece materials. It conforms to both ANSI and ISO standards under manufacturer grade CP500.
This insert is appropriate for turning applications involving materials classified under ISO material groups H, K, M, N, P, and S, covering hardened steels, cast irons, stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. It is well suited for production environments where consistent tool life and surface finish are required across short to medium run lengths. The screw-holding method provides rigid clamping in compatible LCEX toolholders, and the single cutting edge design ensures predictable wear tracking for tool life management programs.

Insert seating and replacement should be performed by a qualified machinist or CNC tooling technician with the machine fully stopped and locked out per applicable machine safety procedures. Clean the toolholder pocket and seating surfaces before installing the insert to ensure proper seating and prevent premature edge failure. Use the manufacturer-specified clamping screw and do not substitute hardware. Inspect the insert seat for wear or damage at each tool change interval.
