The SECO 00089029 is a solid carbide multi-directional turning insert engineered for precision turning operations across a range of workpiece materials. Carrying the CP600 manufacturer grade and finished with a TiAlN/TiN PVD coating, this insert delivers thermal resistance and wear protection in demanding cutting environments. It features a maximum cutting width of 0.236 inches and a cutting height of 0.177 inches, with a corner radius ranging from 0.016 to 0.032 inches. The neutral hand orientation and MC chipbreaker geometry make it suitable for a variety of feed and depth-of-cut combinations. Licensed machinists and CNC turning specialists install this insert in compatible MDT-series toolholders.
This insert is designed for single-end use in multi-directional turning applications. The LCMR insert style with size code 160604 targets workpiece material codes M, N, P, and S, covering stainless steels, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. It is well suited to both roughing and finishing passes where consistent chip control is required. The PVD coating process preserves sharp cutting edges, making this insert appropriate for finishing cuts on materials sensitive to built-up edge. It is sold individually but carries a minimum order quantity of 10 units.

Inspect the insert seat and clamping surfaces for chips or debris before installation to ensure proper seating and runout accuracy.
