With a 3/8 inch inscribed circle and a thickness of 0.1366 inches, this insert fits standard laydown toolholders in the Snap Tap series. It is installed by machinists and CNC operators performing precision threading operations on lathes and turning centers in production and job shop environments.
This insert is suited for internal thread turning applications on materials classified under ISO workpiece codes K, M, N, P, and S, making it applicable across cast irons, non-ferrous metals, non-metals, steels, and heat-resistant superalloys. The right-hand cutting orientation and UN thread standard make it a practical choice for general-purpose internal threading in both low-volume job shop work and higher-volume production runs.
