The 22NR insert style seats in compatible right-hand toolholders for internal threading operations. It carries a 60-degree included angle and a 0.038-inch corner radius, meeting API V thread standard requirements. The CP500 grade designation places it in the Snap Tap series, optimized for controlled-wear performance in threading applications on pipe, coupling, and connection geometry.
This insert is used in CNC turning and threading operations targeting API V internal threads, commonly found in oil-country tubular goods (OCTG), pipe couplings, and downhole tool components. The right-hand cut orientation suits standard lathe spindle direction. Compatible workpiece material codes include K, M, N, P, and S, covering cast iron, stainless steel, non-ferrous metals, carbon and alloy steels, and heat-resistant superalloys.
