The SECO 00071930 is a right-hand SVLB-style indexable turning toolholder designed for external turning operations on CNC and manual lathes. It features a neutral rake angle of 0 degrees and accepts VB..331. series inserts secured by a screw-lock holding method for positive insert registration and repeatability. The shank measures 0.75 inches wide by 0.75 inches tall with an overall length of 4.5 inches. It is constructed from steel and suited for a universal range of workpiece materials. Licensed machinists and CNC setup technicians are the primary installers of this toolholder in production and job-shop turning environments.
This toolholder is appropriate for right-hand cutting direction on turning centers and engine lathes in both production and prototype machining settings. The SVLB style positions the insert at a negative 5-degree lead angle, making it suitable for straight turning and light facing passes. It covers a broad range of workpiece materials including cast iron, non-ferrous alloys, stainless steel, heat-resistant alloys, carbon steel, and hardened materials as indicated by material codes H, K, M, N, P, and S. The back-of-bar to cutting-edge dimension is 0.875 inches, and the insert inscribed circle is 0.375 inches.
Designed for use with VB..331. series indexable inserts with compatible insert size code VB33. This toolholder is part of the Screw Lock series and is intended for standard external turning applications on lathes accepting a 3/4-inch square shank toolholder.
Installation is performed by qualified machinists or CNC toolroom technicians. Ensure the machine spindle is stopped and all motion is arrested before changing or adjusting toolholders. Seat the toolholder fully in the turret or tool post and secure all clamping bolts evenly before resuming cutting. Follow the machine tool manufacturer's torque specifications for turret clamping hardware.
